The emergency stop function of the rope pull switch fulfills the requirements of EN 60947-5-100 up to category 4. The selective activation is achieved with one PNOZsigma per function. The required switch with the emergency stop functions of two rope pull switches and one emergency stop button is achieved using two PNOZsigma and one PITgatebox.

It should be mentioned that further rope pull switches can be used in combination with these supplementary functions, without any additional components, when they are required for making the rope pull switch function in accordance with the standard EN ISO 13850.The PSENrope switch is suitable for use in applications with Safety Integrity Level (SILCL) 3 in accordance with EN IEC 62061. http://www.pilz.com

Contrary to standard rope pull switches, the evaluation of the switching signals in the safe version is duplicated in terms of design, thus offering maximum reliability.

Safe rope pull switch PSENrope offers security up to PL e of EN ISO 13849-1/SILCL 3 of EN IEC 62061. It is used to monitor the positions of protection cylinders and flaps, and it is also used for the secure emergency stop of circuits.
